Patrick A. Green

Patrick Allan Green (Pat), age 71, moved onto greener pastures April 26th, 2021. He was born May 11th, 1949 in Victoria, Tx to the late Almuth Cornelius Green (AC) and Nancy Jane Green in Victoria, TX.

Pat Green, after being voted most handsome, graduated from Victoria High School in 1967 and then attended college at Southwest Texas State University. He returned to Victoria in the following years and helped his father, AC, by first being his manager at Sports Hub Sporting Goods and then venturing on with him to Victoria Marine Sales. Pat became a certified Mercury mechanic, and along with his father, they manufactured Power Cat Boats, pioneering new boat designs. Pat then worked for the Union Pacific Railroad until he was offered a position at DuPont in 1979. He remained at DuPont earning awards and making contributions to increase safety and production until his retirement in 2002.

Pat Green then began his entrepreneurial career and created his Exterior Decorating Company, where he blessed Victoria and surrounding counties with his extraordinary ability to design and create outdoor landscapes through masonry, plant placement, and outdoor carpentry. Pat won at least one award in Victoria’s Parade of Homes for his efforts. Pat Green then retired completely to spend his sweetest years of life at home on his Coleto Creek Reservoir lakefront oasis that he created with his soulmate, his surviving wife, Linda Lou Harper Green (Lindy).

Pat is survived by his wife, Lindy Green; his children, Travis Green, Glenda Green, Chad Goslin, Brad Goslin; his brother Cornelius Green; fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Pat is preceded in passing by his parents, AC and Nancy Jane Green and his brother, Terrance Green.

Pat Green spent his retirement years in bliss with his devoted wife Lindy. Together they very recently rocked their exquisite home with limestone, one of Pat’s final touches. He enjoyed constantly building upon and improving their personal paradise. He built everything on the property himself, including a new dock, enjoyed working on the tractor, and he loved his boat and the plentiful fish. Pat Green enjoyed much in this life. He met old friends and made new ones at his favorite pitstop, The Wellhead Tavern. He touched so many lives in so many different ways along his journey. Other than their little Yorkie dog Bitty, that quickly became Pat’s best friend and comrade, he was so very devoted to loving his beautiful, strong, and amazing wife Lindy. Over so many years they found true love and pure happiness together in their haven on the lake.

Pat Green was a magnificent Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Friend, Neighbor, and Stranger. Pat enjoyed lifting our worn souls with his unending humor and wisecracks. Pat was always there to support his family, help his friends and neighbors, and ask a stranger if they needed help. More than that Pat loved everyone who was blessed to have met him. He left this world well before anyone was ready to say goodbye. We will all remember the twinkle in his eyes, his contagious grin and the unending love and support he exuberated among those that he loved or had just met.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels from noon-2 pm with the service to begin at 2 PM. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Edna.

Patrick Allan Green will be missed by so many, yet never forgotten through all the memories we hold so dear.
