Richard Louis Scott, 68, of Victoria passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017. He was born October 6, 1948 in Quanah, Texas to Marion Ross Scott and the late Joellen Rockholt Riley. Richard graduated from the University of Georgia in 1972, with a Bachelor’s in Education. He was president of the Delta Chi Fraternity for 2 years and one of the biggest Georgia Bulldog fans around. In 2012, he retired from Dow Chemical after approximately 20 years of service. After retirement Richard became a cattle rancher in Dewitt County which he truly enjoyed. He also was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed traveling, scuba diving, and collecting antiques.
Survivors include his father, Marion Ross Scott and sister, Pam Richings, both of Baytown; daughter, Jennifer Henderson, and grandson, Caleb Henderson, both of Augusta, GA; and daughter Kristen Scott of Granbury, TX.
A visitation for family and friends will be from 2-4 pm Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.
Graveside services will be at 10 am, Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Goodlett Cemetery in Quanah, Texas.
