Rose Aparicio

Rosalia (Rose) Aparicio, 98 of San Antonio, TX - formerly of Palacios, TX - passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020. She was born July 23, 1922 in Charco, TX to the late Isaac and Manuela Villarreal Aparicio.

Rose owned and operated Thrifty Grocery and later Shark Drive In convenience stores in Palacios for many years. She loved and was very dedicated to her Catholic faith and her church.

She is survived by her sisters Andrea Morales and Antonia Garcia both of Palacios and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her siblings, Janie Gonzalez, Mary Silvas, Frances Buentello, Isabelle Garcia, Pete Aparicio, Homer Aparicio and Bernard Aparicio.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 10:30-11:30 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Palacios, TX with a rosary to be recited at 11:30. The Funeral Mass will be at noon with Rev. Mike Buentello (Rose’s nephew) officiating. Interment will follow in Palacios Cemetery.
