Sally Groce Love

Lee Groce on November 30,1934. She left this world peacefully at home surrounded by her

family and beloved friends on January 2, 2016. Sally graduated from Patti Welder High School, attended Sweet Briar College in Virginia, and received her Bachelors Degree from The University of

Texas, Austin. Following a career of teaching and property management in Houston, Texas, and Denver, Colorado, Sally returned to Victoria. She then became involved in the Victoria real estate community with great success. For many years Sally was very active in her community serving on the boards of Victoria Preservation, Inc., Court Appointed Special Advocates, and The Nave Museum. She was thankful to return to Trinity Episcopal Church where she grew up. Sally was a loving mother to Robert Love and his children, Kaya Love and Jahsun Love of Denver, Colorado. She has been a devoted sister to Mary Carroll Groce McCan and a sister-in-law to Kerry McCan. She was a loving aunt to Claude Kerry McCan III and his wife, Jane, and to his daughter, Rachel McCan and her mother, Lucy Santamassino, all of Austin. She was also Aunt Sally to James Robert McCan and his wife Julie and to their children Robert August McCan of McFaddin, Texas, and Mary Isabel McCan of Denver, Colorado. She was a

special cousin to Robert Groce Dill and his children, Sherry Dill and Robert Lewis Dill of Houston. Special thanks are given by Sally's family to her devoted caregivers Carol Morgeson and Donna Cano.

A celebration of Sally's life will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church.
