

Stanley D. Clemmons, 84, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 10th, 2014. He was born November 12, 1929, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, the Reverend Dr. Marcus Omar Clemmons and Mrs. Florence Pearl Clemmons; brothers, Lowell and Phillip Clemmons, sister, Edith Clemmons Coe.
Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 59 years, Ann Clemmons, daughters, Cindy Butler (husband, Steven) of Kingsport, TN, and Donna Sturm (husband, Russell) of Victoria; grandchildren, Corey Sturm (wife, Melissa), Amy Sturm, Cassie Gray (husband, Chad) of Victoria, Emily Bruno (husband, Daniel) of Miami, FL and Andrew Butler of Johnson City, TN; great grandsons, Nate, Carter and Cullen of Victoria.
He served in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Seaman Recruit and was honorably discharged July 12, 1950. He and Ann were married December 19, 1954. Mr. Clemmons earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture from Kansas State College of Agriculture and Applied Science in 1956 and worked until retirement as a soil conservationist with the U.S. Government.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at 2 PM at the Rosewood Funeral Chapel. The Reverend Don Franklin (brother of Ann Clemmons) will officiate. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of South Texas, 605 E. Locust Avenue, Victoria, Texas, 77901.
