Aunt Wanda was a lovely lady,
I tried staying in touch with her after my mom and dad both passed away. I enjoyed talking to her on the phone and reminiscing about memories when we were kids. We went and stayed with Aunt Wanda and uncle Olen. The yearof the worlds hemisphere. They took us to the beach lots of fond memories. 
Two years ago I went down to visit with her. I was sad because she did not remember who I was. But she remembered my mom and dad (Margaret and Lee ) she asked me if I would color her hair.  I told her oh I don’t think you would want me to do that. She said OK. I asked her what would she like to have for lunch. She right quick responded to me a hamburger sounds good. So I went and got us a hamburger shake and fries. As we were eating she kept remarking to me oh and should be home any minute he will enjoy his hamburger shake and fries. Then she said to me Kay stops by every day after school she’ll be here any minute. Ok. When I got ready to leave that evening she tried to get in my car. She said can I go with you. I said Aunt Wanda I live north of Dallas. She reminded me I have some family up that way. Her neighbors (Wonderful people . They thought a lot of aunt Wanda and uncle Olen )gracefully helped me get her out of my car and take her back to the garage where she stood and waved goodbye. 
To her grandkids and great grandkids.
I want you to know every time I talk to her she was so proud to tell me what each and everyone of you were doing with your lives. Where you were. If you had married if you had kids. She was very proud of each and everyone of you in your accomplishments of life.  Someday I hope to meet some of you. It’s on my bucket list to look you up. So next time I’m in Austin I’ll show up at the state capital and hope to find a few of you. Next time I go to Huntsville to visit a friend who knows we may show up in Houston to visit some kinfolks. I always love hearing about K and Debbie her grandkids and then her two Great  grands

Please take comfort in knowing that Wanda is HOME now and in good company with all whom she loved most, especially her savior, Jesus.  

A life well-lived is like a light so beautiful and rare
That everyone within its glow is blessed because it's there.
And though the light goes out on Earth, in Heaven it shines still;
And the beauty it revealed to us lives on and always will.
