Wanda Elaine Valdez Curtis, 81, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016. She was born December 15, 1934 in Galveston to the late Felix and Mozell Tyler Valdez. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Presbyterian Church. She loved to paint and write poetry.
Survivors include her husband, Robert W. Curtis of Victoria; daughter, Lori Volkmer of Victoria; sons, Michael J. Moore of Denver, CO, John Gregory Moore of Victoria and Robert Curtis, Jr. (Marilyn) of Houston; grandchildren, Sara Turner, Andrew Moore, Amanda Rae Moore, Daron Gregory Moore, Memory Valdez and Heather Hoffman; great-grandchild, James Tyler Moore.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Benard Valdez.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 13, 2016 from 6-8 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Funeral services will be at 1 pm Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels, with Rev. Dan Fultz officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Wanda’s family members will serve as pallbearers.
