Adelina Gaona Villegas

Adelina Gaona Villegas, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished member of the community, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on April 6, 1929, in California, Adelina was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was widowed by her late husband, Tony Villegas.

Adelina’s love for family and life was evident in everything she did. She was the proud mother of two daughters, Patty and Sally, and was the adored grandmother of three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Her legacy of love, warmth, and kindness lives on through her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Patty (married to Greg Henderson) and Sally (married to Dale Starostka), as well as her beloved sister, Mary Gomez. Throughout her life, Adelina was known for her care and kindness, always putting others first and offering a helping hand whenever needed.

Adelina and her family were the former owners of Hesperia City Florist, where they became a staple in the community for their beautiful arrangements and exceptional service. However, it was her love of birds that truly defined her. Adelina had a special place in her heart for raising and caring for aviary birds, and she even participated in dove releases, creating special moments for others to remember. She will be remembered for her warm, welcoming nature and her dedication to the creatures she so loved.

Her family and friends will forever treasure the memories of her caring spirit and her genuine love for life. She brought joy to all who knew her, and her legacy will continue to inspire those she left behind.

Adelina will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is now at peace and surrounded by the love of those who went before her.
