Aline Theresa White

Granger in New Iberia, Louisiana. Aline loved life and her family. Surrounded by her

children, Aline (87) went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 19. 2021.

Aline had several careers in her lifetime, working for the Victor Valley (CA) School

District with the Head start program and later working for Mervyn's department store in

Victorville, CA, until her retirement. She met and married Joseph Simon, career Air

Force, in 1953. To this union eight children were born.

Aline had a great passion for music, especially Jazz. She also loved to sing. Her pride

and joy were talking about her grandchildren, she was very proud of all their

accomplishments. Aline was very fond of gardening and house plants, like her family,

she loved watching them grow and prosper. She believed in giving back, helping in any

way she could and gave generously to her church's food pantry. Her kind and

compassionate spirit caused her to be loved by all who knew her. She was never too

busy to have a conversation or just listen.

In 1977 Aline married Stanley White. They had a wonderful life together until Stan’s

passing in 2007.

Thankful to have shared in Aline’s life are her eight children and spouses: Joseph

(Cynthia) Simon Jr, Kenneth Simon, Dennis (Dawn) Simon, Denise Simon, Steven

(Gale) Simon, Gregory Simon, Angela (Eustace d.) Messiah, Victor (Jolene) Simon; her

sisters: Eula Polk and Lucille Jackson; her grandchildren: Christopher, Amanda (Brock),

Jordan, Euseph (Brittanie), Aleacia, Courtney (Chris), April, Eric (d), Sara, Kashara,

Rashad, Tristian, Loren, Devin (Jermaine), Elijah, Gage, Isaiah, twentyfour greatgrandchildren,

her extended family (Stan’s children) Stan Jr, Clifford, Gary (d), Julia,

Evelyn, Lesia, Reginald (d), and special friends Danny Still, Steve Tafoya, Eulanda

Long, and Tammie Mooreland.

She was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Elise Granger, her husband

Stanley, grandson Eric Simon, brother Howard Granger, and her sister Louise Rochon.

Visitation will be held at 11:30 am Monday, December 13, 2021, at Holy Innocents

Church, 13230 El Evado Rd, Victorville, CA. The funeral service will follow at 12:30 pm.

Interment will be at 2:00 pm at Desert View Memorial Park, 11500 Amargosa Rd,

Victorville, CA. A reception will be held at the church in the AA Room from 2:30-4:30 pm.
