

Amy Jo Mougala passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025 at the age of 52. Born on May 29, 1973, she was known for her unwavering dedication to her family and the countless students whose lives she touched through teaching. She wanted the best for her students and all children. She created a firm foundation through child development to ensure future success for all of her students. She enhanced the lives of many and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Mikhaiel "Mike" Mougala, son, Brett Mougala, mother, Shirley Songer, sister, Susan Ortiz, nieces, Jennah Ortiz, Diana Salama, Sandy Salama, brother-in-laws, Ahdi Sobhi, Tarig Mougala, Emil Salama, and sister-in-law, Balanche Sobhi.
Her life dedication was to cater to her son, Brett. She went above and beyond to ensure his growth, his care, and his development, not to mention his success in everything he desired. Her legacy will live through him and his kind actions.
Her life was characterized by her passion to service for others. She will be remembered for being tall and to the point. Not to mention, simple and easygoing. She was patient, selfless, and gave unconditional love. She loved the outdoors and the high desert. She was strong. For those who knew her, she was one of the kindest souls.
