Calvin Smith, 76, of Hesperia, California, passed January 20, 2016. Calvin was born in Epps Louisiana, on May 30, 1939, to Frank and Ella Smith. He attended Coleman schools. Calvin was married to Barbara L. Smith in 1964, who preceded him in passing in 2006. Calvin worked for Oberg Construction, as a foreman, for over a decade. He was a member of Desert Springs Baptist Church, where he served as a greeter and an usher. His passions were in loving his family, talking with family, friends and neighbors. He loved sharing his life experiences, thoughts, and opinions. Calvin is survived by his daughter Ang'la "Angie" Smith (Dale), Son Michael Washington (Jolie), grandsons Deondrae Washington, and Marquel Washington, and his two sisters Lizzie R. Weems and Eula Mae Hutton. He is preceded in passing by his sister Annie Pearl, and brothers Linor, Charles, Randy, Chester, and WB Smith, and L.C Banks.
