Born on December 9, 1939, Carol Robertson lived a life rich with God’s blessings. On February 9, 2025, at the age of 85, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family, she was gently welcomed into the arms of Jesus.
Carol met Tony Robertson at the tender age of 17, having fallen in love with him almost instantly while still in high school. She would write his name in her textbooks, dreaming of their future. Not long after graduating, when she was 18, they started their married life together.
After Tony found work that led them to California, Carol's adult life began to fall into place. She started her career at the Post service as a sorter and climbed the ranks to become the Postmaster, leaving a lasting impact on the community she served. After 35 years of devoted service, Carol retired at 55 to dedicate her time to what mattered most—her family and cherished grandchildren.
Carol’s life radiated with warm happiness, her kitchen always fragrant with the aroma of chicken and dumplings, with the sound of thunderstorms on CD, or country hymns. She found magic in the little things—writing stories for children, painting pictures that told stories of their own, and quilting with a heart full of love. Each quilt she made was crafted with care, woven with memories, and sewn with the thoughtfulness to wrap her children and grandchildren in warmth, both literal and emotional.
Whatever the activity, it was always accompanied by her joyful laughter, a sound often brought to life by her husband Tony, who filled her world with endless laughter and love.
Perhaps the most special time of year for Carol was Christmas. From the first crisp days of December to the last sparkle of the tree lights, she cherished the season like no other. As a December baby, it was her time to shine, filling the house with Christmas tunes, the sweet scent of cinnamon, all while celebrating the birth of Jesus. The magic of the season was always a little brighter when snow fell in Hesperia, or when a thunderstorm rolled in, reminding her of winters of her childhood.
Carol is survived by her husband, Tony; her three children, Doug, Marc, and Kelly; and her siblings, Helen, Leda, and Wayne. She leaves behind nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren who carry a piece of her with them in everything they do. Her love for them was endless, and she will be missed deeply by all who were touched by her joyful and kind spirit.
Though Carol is no longer with us, the love she gave and the lessons she shared live on. She will forever be the one who showed us how to make the most of each day, to cherish the small moments, and to always find a bit of sweetness—even on the stormiest of days.
We love you, Carol.
