Cipriano "Zip" Felix Olvera

Cipriano (Zip) Felix Olvera, 79 years young, from Victorville, CA went peacefully to be with the Lord on March 30, 2018. He was born on September 26, 1938 in Jerome, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Helen Olvera. He is survived by son, Rene Olvera (Estelle) of Liberty Hill, TX; Son, Eric Olvera of Victorville, CA; Daughter, Dina Perez (Jesse) of Apple Valley, CA; Son, Cipriano Olvera Jr (Alicia) of Victorville CA. Zip is also survived by his siblings, Margaret Avila, Jesse Olvera, Benny Olvera, and Raymond Olvera. Zip and Helen were loving grandparents to 10 grandchildren: Hope, Gabriel, Enedina, Hayley, Damien, Jacob, Roman, Ariana, Josiah, Jordan, and two great grandchildren, Averie and Weston.

Zip lived in the Victor Valley for 76 years. He proudly served in the US Navy and retired from Civil Service. He then began working for the Mojave River State Fish Hatchery. He was happy working as a volunteer and they liked him so much they offered him a job. Zip enjoyed working there so much; he would have worked there for free! He enjoyed hunting, jogging, church and movies. He will be missed tremendously. A special Thank You to Sterling Commons and United Hospice for the extraordinary care they provided. Visitation will start at 11 am and funeral service to follow at 12 pm on Friday, April 6, 2018 at New Life Chapel, 10184 7th Ave, Hesperia, CA. Cipriano will be laid to rest at Desert View Memorial Park 11500 Armargosa Rd., Hesperia, CA, immediately following the church service.
