My mom, Debra Luedtke, was a woman of kindness, strength, and love. She was a mom of six kids and five grandkids. She had a gentle heart that cared deeply for her family and especially for her grandchildren, who brought her the greatest joy. Being part of her children’s and grandchildren’s lives meant everything to her, and she treasured every moment she could spend with us.

Debra had a passion for beauty and creativity, especially when it came to butterflies. She enjoyed coloring and painting them, possibly because they represented themes of transformation, resilience, and grace. In many ways, she embodied the spirit of a butterfly: delicate yet strong, full of color and life.

What stood out most about my mom was her strength. Even when faced with sickness, she showed incredible willpower and determination to keep going, to fight through the hard days, and to be present with the people she loved. Her courage was inspiring, and her love never wavered.

Mom’s life was filled with love, family, and moments of joy that will forever stay with us. She leaves behind not just memories, but lessons in kindness, caring, and strength. Her legacy lives on in her children, her grandchildren, and in the love she so freely gave.

Mom, thank you for everything. You will always be a part of us, guiding us, loving us, and reminding us to be strong.
