Eleanor Ann Fauver

Born August 27, 1940 – Lived for Jesus – Died January 5, 2025

Enter 7th child of Eleanor Rosetta Posey and Carrel E. Proby Sr. in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Loved by five protective brothers who preceded her in death and three sisters who preceded her in death. She was a solitary person and hardworking student from elementary through graduation day at Thomas Jefferson High School in Los Angeles, CA, being one of the top ten received an Ephebian Award.

Soon after graduating she was hired by the Los Angeles County promoting upward to retiring after 24 years 6 months in Los Angeles Superior Courthouse as the supervising payroll clerk. During this time, Eleanor married Robert Hawkins in 1959 and to this union was born a son, Rodrick Leslie Hawkins, her reason for living. Three failed marriages and divorces did not take away her joy.

Many years later she met and married Conrad Eugene Fauver who loved and spoiled her rotten yet made it possible for them to raise her two grand nephews, 17 years, Kelvin Cornelius and LaMont Jamar McCullough. She referred to the three sons as #1, #2, and #3 sons of love from God. Happily and finally she was able to attend Victorville Junior College 2004 – 2006.

Eleanor loved to “go” and “travel” anywhere and dressing up for any occasion: birthdays, graduations, weddings, funerals, awards, anniversaries, but most especially church at Christmas and Resurrection Easter. She cared little about computers or cellphones which caused Rod II to dub her antiquated/prehistoric (which she adored and was proud to be). She did respect its good use when a teenager filmed the cruel death of George Floyd which led to change in police misconduct towards Black/Latin Americans and all peoples. The whole world was changed. Alleluia!

Eleanor’s final desire to Heavenly Father was to allow her to live in health until 2023 to attend the 50th Wedding Anniversary of Rodrick and Connie who accomplished what I couldn’t. It came to pass. Now, I can go to bed, go to sleep, and keep sleeping.
