

Frank Perez Sr. was born December 29, 1944 to Grace and Domingo Perez. Frank was born and raised in Barstow, California. He graduated from Barstow High School in 1963. He met the love of his life Rosa (Favela) Perez in San Bernardino in 1963. Frank and Rosa were married in August 1965 and blessed with 59 years of marriage. They had three children, Lorraine, Frank Jr. and Armando Perez. Frank enjoyed being a father and coached not only his sons, but also other family members in baseball. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and of course, gambling in Las Vegas. He passed his favorite pastimes down to his sons. Together, with his sons and son in law, they enjoyed many years of hunting, camping and fishing together. These memories will forever be treasured.
Frank worked for Cal-Trans for 33 years, where he made a lot of wonderful friends. He retired as a heavy equipment operator. His favorite equipment to operate was the grader. He was lovingly known as "The Heavy" by his coworkers. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, and an active member of the church pantry service for Holy Family Catholic Church. Frank was known as a soft spoken man who would help anyone who needed it. He passed away at the age of 80 peacefully with his loving family surrounding him. He will forever and dearly be missed by all his family and friends. "Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted." Matthew 5:4. "I am the resurrection and the life.
Whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die." John 11:25-26.
Frank is survived by his wife, Rosa, daughter Lorraine(Jose) Padilla, grandsons Jose Jr. Padilla, Carlos D. Padilla, son Frank Jr.,(Denise) Perez, grandsons Frank R., Gabriel M., son Armando (Gina) Perez, grandsons Armando Jr, Anthony J, and Andrew D Perez. Marissa L, Isaiah A and Jordan M Calderon and 5 great grand kids. As well as sister Irene (Perry) Helmers, Becky (Rudy) Perez, and Cindy Hernandez. Frank is also survived by 4 brother in laws, 9 sister in laws and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Grace and Domingo Perez, brother Domingo Jr, and sister Irene Flores, sister Teresa Valencia and loving mom Nellie Perez.
A Mass and Rosary will be held February, 14, 2025 at Holy Family Catholic Church9974 I Ave. Hesperia CA 92345. Burial service to follow at Desert View Memorial Park 11500 Amargosa Rd Victorville CA 92392. Reception to follow at Knights of Columbus Hall 15163 Aspen Rd, Hesperia Ca 92345.
