Lazaro Palomo Hernandez, 73, of Hesperia, California unexpectedly and tragically passed away with his wife, of 47 years, Guadalupe Palomo, on early Saturday morning December 24, 2016. Lazaro was born March 24, 1943 in Tamaulipas, Mexico, to Matias Palomo and Agustina Hernandez, brother to Juana, Julio, Marcelino, Dora Alicia, Antonia and Leonor. Lazaro loved the restaurant business, his work ethic and dedication took him from dish washer to management to owner. After living in Southern California since the 60s, he and his wife moved from Los Angeles, California to Victorville in the early 90s to start their new endeavor as restaurant owners, they opened Sinaloa Mexican Restaurant which quickly became a local’s favorite. Lazaro’s kindness and spirituality was magnetic, it was evident in his love for animals. He would bring birds home with broken wings, heal them and release them back, dogs would follow him home so he would feed them and take them in. Diabetes beat him up, but through his resilience, the love of his family, especially his grandchildren, the devotion of his beautiful wife and his church, he bounced back and was strong and as determined as ever. Lazaro loved his church and his church family, they were a huge part of his life, he even built a prayer chapel in the back yard. He would travel to pray over those that needed it, he’d pray with those that came to visit him, he wanted to fix and heal everyone. He had a passion for old cars, proud owner of many Fords, but ultimately had a 73 Chevy Nova that he wanted to fix to pass down to his only grandson. Lazaro adored his family, he was a very proud man, and the best father any daughter could ever pray for. Lazaro is survived by his daughter Sandra, a U.S. Army Veteran, and his two beautiful grandchildren Thomas and Luciana.
