A funeral mass for Lois will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at ST Joan of Arc, 15512 6th St, Victorville, CA 92395. Following the funeral mass will be a graveside service at 11:30 AM at Victor Valley Memorial Park, 17150 C St., Victorville, CA 92395.

Lois Anne Guttman, loving matriarch of a large and diverse family whose roots began in Victorville, Calif., passed away peacefully on Jan. 9, 2024, in Santa Clarita, CA. She was 91.

In attendance at her bedside were Lois’ two daughters, Maureen Guttman Singerman, 63, of Valencia, CA, and Jeannine Guttman, 69, of Rutland, VT.

In celebration of Lois’ wondrous and beautiful life, a family rosary and funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, Jan. 23, from 9:30 am to 11 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 15512 6th St., Victorville, CA.

Graveside services will follow at 11:30 am at Victor Valley Memorial Park, 17150 C St., Victorville, CA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any contributions in memory of Lois be sent to the American Cancer Society.

Lois was born Lois Anne Hannahs in Cleveland, OH, on April 2, 1932.

She met her future husband, Donald, after graduating high school, and they married in 1954 in Cleveland, OH, after Donald joined the US Air Force.

As a military spouse, Lois would travel the world with her husband and three daughters, whose lives were shaped by these global adventures. Military stints included Hickam AFB in Hawaii, Wheelus AFB in Tripoli, Libya, and Naha and Kadena AFB in Okinawa.

In addition to her two daughters, and their respective spouses, Larry Singerman, 75, and Barbara Noyes Pulling, 69, respectively, Lois is survived by her seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren: Grandson Robert Wiedrick, and wife Brandi, and three great grandchildren; granddaughter Layla Wiedrick Henry and husband Chris, and three great grandchildren; granddaughter Stephanie Singerman and partner Andrew Nowakowski; granddaughter Riley Hobden and husband Matthew; and grandson James Troemel and partner Paula.

Lois was predeceased by her loving husband of 70 years, Donald Joseph, 68, of Victorville; her youngest daughter, Colleen Marie Guttman, 47, of Crestline, CA; her only sibling, sister Beverly Hill, 84, of North Olmsted, OH; and her grandson Eric Underwood, 45, of Mt Hope, WV.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lois' memory may be made to American Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
