

Luis E. Lugo passed away peacefully with his six children by his side on October 19, 2024, at the age of ninety. He was born in Victorville, Ca. on October 11, 1934, to his loving departed parents, Bernardo, and Beatriz Lugo. Luis was married to his beloved Graciela for sixty-three years. He was known for his passion for all sports, but especially his love for the game of basketball. He began working for Southwest Portland Cement Company at the tender age of eighteen. He worked for the same employer for 44 years as a Track Leadman and retired at the age of sixty-two. He touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his six children and their spouses: Yolanda Graciela McLaughlin, Oscar Luis Lugo and Jeannie Lugo, James Lugo and Rhonda Lugo, Susana Lugo Conway and Christopher Conway Sr., Rebeca Lugo Brumett, and Bernardo (Nano) Lugo and Colleen Lugo. 17 grandchildren: Jeremy McLaughlin and Karla McLaughlin, Robert McLaughlin and Rosa McLaughlin, Ashley McLaughlin and John Boyer, the late Emanuel Cardona, Rosalia Reynaga and Juan Reynaga, Alex Jauregui II, Gabriel Lugo and Janie Lugo, Uriah Lugo and Sabrina Lugo, Elijah Lugo and Alexis Lugo, Genevieve Stephenson and Matthew Stephenson, Christopher Conway Jr. and Lauren Conway, Lt. Col. Ryan Conway and Maria Conway, Cherise Brumett, Zachary Brumett Sr. and Lindsey Brumett, Cheltzie Brumett, Chloe Lugo, Logan Lugo, and Landon Lugo. 33 great grandchildren: Joshua McLaughlin, Matthew McLaughlin, Christian McLaughlin, Alexa McLaughlin, Victor Beber, Michael McLaughlin, Ava McLaughlin, Adam Boyer, Jordan Boyer, Cameron Boyer, Desiree Guerrero, Alex Jauregui III, Adonis Lugo, Avery Lugo, Aries Lugo, Hayden Lugo, Alexander Lugo, Blake Lugo, Maximilian Lugo, Olivia Lugo, Malachi Lugo, Nicholas Conway, Sienna Conway, Savannah Conway, Annissa Conway, Noah Conway, Luke Conway, Victoria Conway, Amelia Conway, Liam Conway, Brooklynn Bryant, Winter Brumett, and Zachary Brumett Jr. 2 great great grandchildren: Reagan McLaughlin and Olivia Conway.
Luis Lugo's life was represented by his commitment to his family. His love for his children and grandchildren was so immense; the memories will live in their hearts forever. He had a passion for keeping his cars and lawns in pristine condition and had an intense work ethic. He volunteered for many years to coach his sons and grandsons for the Victorville Little League. He enjoyed volunteering his time to his church, which included maintaining the grounds. He gave back to his community by helping with the “Lords Table” at St. Joan of Arc catholic church.
Luis Lugo’s services will be as follows: Viewing will be for family and friends on Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, with the rosary to begin immediately afterwards at Funeraria del Angel, Victor Valley (Formerly known as Victor Valley Mortuary), 15609 Eleventh St. Victorville, CA 92395. We will have a Mass on Friday, November 15, 2024, beginning at 10 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 15512 6th St. Victorville, CA 92395. Ther internment will follow at Funeraria del Angel for his final resting place with his loving wife Graciela Lugo.
