Martha Ann Cowan

Martha “Martie” Cowan, a cherished wife, sister, aunt, and great-aunt, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2024, at the age of 82. Born on September 5, 1942, in Houston, Texas, Martie was a gentle and radiant presence whose love and warmth touched everyone she met.

Martie’s life was defined by her unwavering devotion to family and her compassionate heart. She was a beloved sister to Nedra, sharing countless memories and a bond that stood the test of time. As an aunt to Jeanine and a great-aunt to Brittney, Martie brought joy, guidance, and love, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and wisdom that will live on in their hearts.

Martie had an innate ability to make others feel special and valued. She was known for her infectious laughter, her love of life’s simple pleasures, and her thoughtful spirit. Her presence lit up every room she entered, and her love extended far beyond her family, enriching the lives of friends, coworkers and neighbors alike.

Though her absence leaves a profound void, Martie’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort and inspiration. Her love, laughter, and light will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.

Martie is survived by her sister, Nedra; her niece, Jeanine; and her great-niece, Brittney, who will carry forward her legacy of kindness and love.

A private family service will be held to honor and celebrate Martie’s life on January 18th, 2025 at 1pm at Desert View Memorial Park in Victorville, CA.

Rest in peace, dear Martie. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A memorial service for Martha will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Desert View, 11478 AMARGOSA RD, VICTORVILLE, CA 92392, followed by a reception from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
