

We are here today, as family to honor and celebrate the life of Mildred (Midge) Snell who was born on June 26, 1924 in Dublin, Texas to Robert Franklin Hammit and Lorena Ann Cruce, and passed away April 3, 2019. She lived a long and full life rejoicing with the Lord now, after 94 years.
As a child Mildred lived on a small cotton farm in Dublin, Texas. She moved from Texas as a young child eventually settling in San Bernardino, California. She married and had two children Sherry and Bruce. She may have moved from Texas, but Texas was always in her heart. She worked for many years as a cosmetics consultant at Broadway, Penny’s, and Rancho Drugs. Her greatest love were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. You could always find her in her garden spending hours planting, watering and picking the fruit. Another great pleasure was cooking and baking. She loved to plan and cook meals for her family. Christmas time brought yummy soft ginger cookies.
She also loved working with the women at church in Ruth’s Circle. She had many hobbies throughout her life among which: were square dancing, tole painting, and sewing. She especially loved sewing dresses for her daughter, and later for her granddaughter. Mildred had an adventurous spirit riding in a hot air balloon when she was in her 70’s. Her adventures continued through camping trips and cruises to Mexico, Panama, and Alaska.
Mildred is proceeded in death by her parents, two brothers C.B and Robert (Buddy) one grandson David and a sister Dorothy, and two husbands Albert Angelo and Kenneth Snell.
She is survived by sister, Laura, daughter Sherry and husband Harry Fath, son Bruce Angelo and wife Catherine, grandson Jeff Fath, grandson Jesse Angelo, granddaughter Bethany Angelo, great grandchildren James Fath, Haley Angelo, Jonah Angelo, Leah Angelo, and Harrison Sechrist .
