Con profundo dolor y una tristeza inmensa anunciamos el fallecimiento de Rafael Antonio Hernández Sáenz, a quien muchos conocían cariñosamente como Toño o Don Rafa. Rafael partió de este mundo la noche del 14 de abril de 2025. Le sobreviven su amada esposa Silvia, sus hijos Karina, Rafael Jr. y Edwin, sus queridos nietos, así como numerosos miembros de su familia extendida que lo amaron entrañablemente.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el 10 de mayo de 2025, comenzando a las 9:00 a.m., seguido por el servicio fúnebre a las 12:00 del mediodía, en Victor Valley Park & Mortuary, ubicado en 15609 Eleventh St, Victorville, CA 92395.

Rafael nació el 29 de octubre de 1962 en Usulután, El Salvador, hijo de Arturo de Jesús Hernández y Victoria Celina Hernández. Creció en Usulután, donde pasó su infancia y juventud hasta que en 1986 se le presentó la oportunidad de emigrar a Estados Unidos en busca de un mejor futuro. Se estableció en Victorville, donde comenzó a trabajar como techador (“roofer”). Poco tiempo después, conoció a Silvia, el amor de su vida, con quien formó una hermosa familia. En abril de 1989 recibieron con alegría a su hija Karina, en diciembre de 1993 a su hijo Rafael Jr., y en octubre de 1995 a su hijo Edwin.

Rafael fue un esposo y padre ejemplar. Siempre brindó a su familia amor, cariño y apoyo incondicional, esforzándose para que nunca les faltara nada. Además de su dedicación a su familia, Rafael fue también un amigo fiel y generoso; nunca dudaba en tender una mano a quien lo necesitara. Su calidez, dulzura y nobleza dejaron una huella profunda en quienes tuvieron la fortuna de conocerlo. Su sentido del humor y

su gran corazón alegraron muchas vidas.

Una de las mayores alegrías de Rafael fue convertirse en abuelo. Amó profundamente a sus nietos, quienes se convirtieron en la luz de sus días. Anhelaba conocer una nieta, y gracias a Dios, pudo cumplir ese deseo antes de su partida. Sus nietos fueron su mayor fuente de felicidad, especialmente durante los

momentos más difíciles de su enfermedad.

Hoy les pedimos que lo recuerden como él era: alegre, cariñoso y lleno de vida. Cada vez que escuchen una ranchera o una canción salvadoreña, deseamos que les arranque una sonrisa y que piensen en él. Les rogamos que oren por su eterno descanso, y pidan a Dios que ahora esté celebrando en el cielo junto a sus padres, Arturo y Celina, sus sobrinas Sarita y Emmely, y todos los seres queridos que seguramente lo recibieron con los brazos abiertos.

With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rafael Antonio Hernandez Saenz, lovingly known to many as Toño or Don Rafa. Rafael departed this world on the night of April 14, 2025. He is survived by his beloved wife Silvia, his children Karina, Rafael Jr., and Edwin, his dear grandchildren, and many extended family members who loved him deeply.

The viewing will take place on May 10, 2025, starting at 9:00 a.m., followed by funeral services at 12:00 p.m., at Victor Valley Park & Mortuary, located at 15609 Eleventh St, Victorville, CA 92395.

Rafael was born on October 29, 1962, in Usulután, El Salvador, son of Arturo de Jesus Hernandez and Victoria Celina Hernandez. He grew up in Usulután, where he spent his childhood and youth until 1986, when he immigrated to the United States in search of a better future. He settled in Victorville, California, where he began working as a roofer. Shortly after, he met Silvia, the love of his life, and together they built a beautiful life. In April 1989, they welcomed their daughter Karina, in December 1993 their son Rafael Jr., and in October 1995 their son Edwin.

Rafael was a devoted husband and father. He always gave his family endless love, support, and care, working hard to ensure they never lacked anything. Beyond being a wonderful family man, Rafael was also a loyal and generous friend who never hesitated to help those in need. His warmth, kindness, and gentle nature touched everyone who knew him. His sense of humor and his big heart brought joy to many lives.

One of Rafael’s greatest joys was becoming a grandfather. He adored his grandchildren, who became the light of his life. He longed to meet a granddaughter, and thanks to God’s grace, he was able to fulfill that dream before his passing. His grandchildren were his greatest source of happiness, especially during the tough times of his illness.

We ask you to remember Rafael as he was: joyful, loving, and full of life. Every time you hear a ranchera or Salvadoran music, we hope it brings a smile to your face and a fond memory of him to your heart. Please keep him in your prayers and ask God to grant him eternal rest, rejoicing in heaven with his parents, Arturo and Celina, his nieces Sarita and Emmely, and many other beloved family and friends who surely welcomed him with open arms.
