

Robert “Bob” Peyton, 88, of Alta Loma, CA passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024 after a short bout with cancer. Born April 12, 1936 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of Clarence & Josephine Peyton. Bob was preceded in death by his sister Joann, his brother Edgar, and his beloved wife Patricia. He is survived by his wife Victoria and his adored dog BarkLee. He is also survived by his children; Christine, (Dan), Robert, (Sarah), Julia, (Todd), Jodie, (Kristen), Patricia, (Martin), Karrie, (Troy). He was also a proud Pap Pap to 15 grandchildren, (Cristina, Rico, Noah, Michael, Katie, Josie, Abbie, Henri, Makenna, Kamrin, Tatum, Bella, Eli, Dutch & Levi), and 11 great grandchildren. A graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School, Bob was the first in his family to attend college, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
A diligent, hard worker from a young age, Bob worked for Mesta Machine Company, Kaiser Steel and Southern California Edison. He was proud to have served in the U.S. Army. His hobbies included HO Gauge train modeling, music, cooking, gardening, dancing, spending time with his family, especially traveling with his wife Vicki, cruising and getting dressed up in a tuxedo. He will be most remembered for being a hard worker, an amazing provider, his creativity, his quick wit, making the holidays memorable; dressing up as the best Santa ever, and being a die hard fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He will be deeply missed.
