Ronald “Ronnie” Lee Pinkston, born on October 24, 1944, to Caswell and Frankie Pinkston in Salinas, California, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2025, at the age of 80.
Ronnie served in the United States Army 101st Airborne Division (Screaming Eagles), where he proudly gave his service to his country. He was a man of integrity, strength, and character, and his time in the military shaped much of who he was—dedicated, disciplined, and committed to helping others.
The love of Ronnie’s life was Irene Pinkston, whom he was married to for 27 years, together for over 30 years. Together they created a loving home filled with laughter, support, and cherished memories. Ronnie’s love for his family was evident in everything he did—he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, Uncle, and friend, always putting his loved ones first and showing them the same kindness, patience, and unwavering support.
Ronnie is survived by his wife Irene, Daughters Tamatha and Terry Masot, Shanna and Jack McCormack, Sister Kay Peterman, 3 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandsons, multiple nieces and nephews and friends who will forever remember him with love and admiration.
A service in honor of Ronnie's life will be officiated by Pastor David Corona at: Victor Valley Mortuary, 15609 Eleventh Street, Victorville, CA 92392
Ronnie’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and he will be dearly missed by his family and friends. May he rest in peace, and may his legacy of love, service, and kindness continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
