Mr. Ruben Lao

Ruben "Pinky" Lao Sr died peacefully at home surrounded by family on November 11,2014 in Helendale, CA. Ruben was born on 03/11/1931 in New York to his parents Wenseslao & Celita Lao. At the young age of 13 he would learn the trade of a plumber, which would become his life long career. He married in 1950 to the love of his life Rita. Together they would bring 8 children in to the world over the next 20 years. In 1965 they moved to California and would settle down in the Victor Valley by 1971. Soon after he started his family business Lao Plumbing. Ruben and Rita would become very involved in the Adelanto Lyons Club until the unexpected death of his wife Rita in 1989. Ruben would then live out the rest of his days with his children in the High Desert and Valencia. There he would enjoy watching his family grow. Ruben is preceeded in death by his wife Rita Lao. He is survived by his children Ruben Jr & Kelli Lao of Pennsylvnia. Rinita Lao of Florida. Anna & Larry Wright of California. Diane and Kevin Childs of Kentucky. Celita & Ron Bevenue of Califonia.Clifford & Debra Lao of Arizonia. Priscella & Joe Caso of California. Robert Lao of California. 20 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. He was also loved by so many other children that would consider him Grandpa. He will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, donations should go to the Parkinson association.
