Elizabeth "Joanne" Terry

Elizabeth "Joanne" Terry, 77, of Vinton, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025. She was born to her late parents, Sosthan and Nettie Croker on December 22, 1948 in Orange, Texas. She worked at Delta Downs in Vinton for twenty one years before she retired. Joanne enjoyed fishing, berry picking, her animals, listening to audiobooks and game shows, and loved spending time with her family, whom she loved very much.

She is survived by her three daughters, Rebecca Rapp of Sulphur, Louisiana, Tanya "Tandy" Guidry (Chad) of Sulphur, Louisiana, and Paula LeJeune of Vinton, Louisiana; eight grandchildren, Ryan Rapp, Reese Rapp, Reid Rapp, Nicole Ellender, Mikayla Guidry, Dalaina Guidry, Sly McClelland, and Madalyn McClelland; seven great grandchildren; her four legged daughter, Faith Elizabeth Terry; along with her nieces.

Joanne is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Wayne Terry; her parents; brother, Felix Croker; along with her extended Croker family.

A Celebration of Joanne's life will be held at Hixson Funeral Home in Vinton, Louisiana on Friday, January 2, 2026 at 1:00 pm, with Chaplain Paula Ann Riley officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, beginning at 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Orange, Texas.
