

"Tot" was a lifelong resident of Vinton, and was a butcher and meat market manager for Vinton Big Star Supermarket for 40 years. He enjoyed racing stock cars and dirt bikes. He also enjoyed watching as well as playing sports. He was playing flag football in his 40’s. G.L was very competitive in sports and never thought of himself as old. He was always young at heart. A few years ago he began playing drums for the band Raymond T. and French Bred.
Survivors include his wife, Georgie Comeaux Moore; son, Duke Moore and wife, Kristi of Oklahoma City; daughter, Dawn Moore of Vinton; brother, Harold Moore and wife, Ingrid of Vinton; four grandchildren, Zachary Blanchard, Kaylen Moore, Jessica Moore and Cameron Blanchard. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 5 at 3:30 p.m. in Niblett’s Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be held 9 am -3 pm on Saturday in Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
