

Khiden Turner Pruett, 19, of Vinton, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. He was born on November 1, 2006 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Khiden was a soon to be graduate of Sulphur High School. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Squadron 208. His future plans were to go to college for Culinary Arts. He enjoyed gourmet cooking, foreign cars, and was a giving person. Khiden truly had a servant's heart. Khiden was loved by all who knew him, especially his family.
He is survived by his grandparents, Matt and Stephanie Turner of Vinton, Louisiana, Marie Mitchell of DeQuincy, Louisiana, Melissa White of DeQuincy, Louisiana, Stacy Pruett of Vinton, Louisiana, Betty and Craig Como of Sulphur, Louisiana and James Gore of Vinton, Louisiana; great grandparents, Don and Kay Ritter of Vinton, Louisiana, Tommy Vassar of Vinton, Louisiana, Johnie Pruett of Vinton, Louisiana; father, Jason Pruett (Natasha) of Vinton, Louisiana; mother, Mary Gross (Trey) of Westlake, Louisiana; along with his siblings, Amelia-Maehem Pruett of Mauriceville, Texas, Mayleigh Como of Westlake, Louisiana and Kooper Gross of Westlake, Louisiana; his girlfriend, Baleigh Porter; his fur baby, Ivey; two bonus parents, Alex Como of Carlyss, Louisiana and Amiee Schlesinger of Mauriceville, Texas; along with numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Khiden is preceded in death by his grandparents, John Mitchell, Buford Turner, Gaynell Vassar, Barbara Pruett, and Jimmy White; along with his uncle, Zeke Turner.
A Celebration of Khiden's life will be held at Hixson Funeral Home in Vinton, Louisiana on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at 11:00 am, with Bro. Kendall Chaisson officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home in Vinton, Louisiana on Friday, December 26, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Saturday, from 9:00 am until the time of the service.
