

He was a native of Orangefield, Texas and had been a resident of Vinton for 50 years, coming from Orange, Texas. L.J. was a member and Deacon of First Baptist Church of Vinton. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, wood working, and spending time with his family. He retired from Dupont Chemical Company after 30 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Alma LeBlanc of Vinton; two sons, Ken LeBlanc and wife, Charlotte of Orange, Texas and Dale LeBlanc and wife, Deirdre of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; three brothers, JJ LeBlanc of Orange, Texas, Andrew LeBlanc of Katy, Texas, and Albert LeBlanc of Paragould, Arkansas; his aunt, Cecilia Hartley; step-sister, Wanda "Cookie" Carter; eight grandchildren, Kent Collins, Melanie Collins, Valerie Seidel, Kaycie LeBlanc McCuistion, Daniel LeBlanc, Sarah LeBlanc, Christopher Arnaud, and Kyle Arnaud; four great-grandchildren; and special family friends, Roy and Dawn Walter of Moss Bluff. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Linda LeBlanc; and his uncle and aunt, Revis and Daisy Fitch.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 27, in First Baptist Church of Vinton. The Revs. Lee Perkins and Bobby Daniel will officiate. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Visitation will be held in the church from 4-9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Thursday in the church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to First Baptist Church of Vinton, 1401 Center Street, Vinton, LA 70668.
