Margaret Ann "Maggie" Lasserre Guillory of Vinton, Louisiana passed away on March 26, 2026 surrounded by her grandkids at her home. Daughter of Leon John and Ollie Mae Lee Lasserre, Maggie was born on August 12, 1936.
Maggie graduated from Vinton High School in 1955 and was the last surviving member of her class. She retired in 2006 after working 31 years as a teacher’s aide at Vinton Elementary School. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing pokeno, word search puzzles, and George Strait. Her life was devoted to her grandchildren.
Maggie was preceded in death by her parents and her 2 children, Patricia Guillory Renfrow along with her husband, Clay Renfrow, and Johnny Guillory; and her sister, Melba Lee Merriman.
Survivors include her 3 granddaughters Kristy (Allen) Crisp, Kathy Courmier and Katie (Frankie) LaBove; great grandchildren Brantyn (Kylie) LaBove, Kenzie (Jacob) Lewis, Max Crisp, Dawsyn LaBove, Connor Courmier, Ben Crisp, Carter Courmier and Sophie Courmier; and great great grandchildren Aislynn LaBove and Walker Lewis.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10am Saturday, March 28, 2026 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Vinton. Father Carlos Garcia will officiate. Burial will follow at Lee Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton from 5-8 pm on Friday, March 27, 2026 with a Rosary at 6pm, and will resume at 8:30am on Saturday until the time of service.
Pallbearers will be Max Crisp, Ben Crisp, Connor Courmier, Brantyn LaBove, Jacob Lewis, Marcus Renfrow, Gage Gonzales, Devon LeBrun and Honorary Pallbearer, Carter Courmier.
