She was born on August 23, 1944 in West Union, Iowa to Joseph and Margeret Benda, both deceased. Mary loved and cared for her husband, Jerry and their cats. She also cared very much for her dear close friend, Edna Thibodeaux. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Mom will be missed.
Mary is survived by her husband, Jerry Kulow of Vinton; two sons and one daughter, Steve Harper of Sheffield, Iowa, and Lori Harper Mennenga and husband, James of Waverly, Iowa; three grandchildren, Jamie Mennenga Steck and husband, J.D. of Waterloo, Iowa, Carly Menenga and fiance, Mike of Clarksville, Iowa, and Logan Mennenga of Waverly, Iowa; and four great-grandchildren, Mason and Brenner Steck of Waterloo, Iowa, and Brinley and Jaxon Raymer of Clarksville, Iowa.
A memorial service will be held in Waverly, Iowa.
