

Carlos Manuel Garcia-Lavin, referred to affectionately as “Carlito”, was born on April 2, 1999, in Miami, Florida. He is survived by his father, Carlos Felipe Garcia-Lavin; his son, Carlos Adrian; as well as his sister Victoria Hewitt and her husband Derek; niece Arianna and nephew Ryan; in addition, his aunts Marta Garcia-Lavin, Lourdes Leighton, Silvia Garcia-Lavin, and Cindy Albury; and his love and mother of his son, Alexandra Lily.
He is predeceased by his beloved mother Dawn Garcia-Lavin and Aunt Laura Garcia-Lavin, and uncle Lee Leighton.
Carlito loved growing up in Loxahatchee on a dirt road and was blessed by beautiful neighbors and surroundings. For 15 years he spent most of his time with his many friends on 90th Street and playing video games, bike riding, and exploring the outdoors, canals and dirt roads. He played trumpet in middle school band, and played a few years of soccer.
Carlito was a big fan of Star Wars and building Legos. He had many pets; eventually he and the family had a poultry farm…he named nearly half the chickens as his own. After 2014, he lived in Colorado for a few years where he later began to work alongside his dad installing fabricated natural stone. As a professional he strived for excellence in his undertakings and delivered memorable experiences for many. Carlito’s interests range from automobiles to music, which made him interesting and enjoyable to be with.
He was an amazing uncle and had a special bond with his niece and nephew Arianna and Ryan, who adored him. He also became a father in 2020 when his son, Carlos, was born. He took much pride in Carlito and was a very loving father. He loved listening to music and seldom went anywhere without some sort of sound system. He typically could be heard before being seen. Carlito had more confidence, charisma and attitude than money could buy.
He bloomed into a kind, sensitive, compassionate and giving soul, leaving lasting impressions at sea level and altitudes at over a mile high.
Besides his melting charisma, he had a beautiful smile and intriguing soft eyes. His curly, dark, shiny hair was envied by many women. He was definitely tall, handsome and let’s not forget fashionable.
Carlito was endearing and melted many hearts. He was unique in his ways of expressing himself. He enjoyed a spirited intelligent debate and was an excellent conversationalist.
Carlito was loved by his family and friends. He will be passionately missed, but will live on through his beautiful son and family who will honor his memory always.
