Mrs. French was born in Norfolk, Virginia September 24, 1926. She attended Maury High School and was a graduate of Leigh Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She spent most of her life as a nurse helping others for over fifty years. She was predeceased by her parents, Carrie H. and Daniel C. Taylor, one sister, Josephine Taylor, four brothers, Leon H. Taylor, Sr., Jim B. Taylor, Lloyd L. Taylor, Sr., and Robert G. (Bob) Taylor.
She is survived by two sisters, Geraldine Parker of Chesapeake and Pauline Duff of Richmond, Va., and one brother, Charlie B. Taylor, Sr., of Virginia Beach and many nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may offer condolences at www.smithandwilliamskempsville.com
