Earl Arthur Ruby, Sr.

AVCM Earl Arthur Ruby, Sr., USN Ret., passed away on June 13, 2017. Master Chief Ruby was born August 6th, 1936 in McAllen, Texas to William and Vera Ruby. He retired as Command Master Chief Petty Officer after thirty years of service. He was a member of the Ocean View Masonic Lodge, No. 335. He was predeceased by his son Raymond Scott Ruby. Survivors include his wife Marlena R. Ruby, children Earl A Ruby, Jr. and wife Missy, Melva Rae Lawson, Laura Lee Honaker, Grandchildren Tyler Joseph Ruby, Madison Brooks Ruby, Mistique Danielle Carmine and husband Josh, Dakota Honaker and wife Withney, and Crystal Lee Lawson. Great Grandchildren, Vincent Scott Carmine, Emelyn Rose Carmine, A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel.
