– On October 16, 2012, Eva Norman went to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late George and Junieta McPherson. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. Gerald B Norman, her sister, Emma McPherson, brother-in-law Roland Norman and dear friend Thelma Lee Myers. She is survived by her children Etta Florio and husband Jimmy, George Norman and wife Jackie and Dianne McNamara and husband Dan. She is also survived by her seven loving grandchildren, Mark Champion, Kim Cotton, Blake Norman, Billy Dunn, Mikel Macaluso, Will and Daniel McNamara and seven great grandchildren, Kenai Champion, Jordan & Matt Cotton, Georgie Norman, Richard McNamara, Sammantha Batchelor, Anthony Macaluso and Zoe McNamara. Also surviving are her sister Ethel Sherrick and sister-in-law Naomi Norman and their families.
Her going home service will be held at Carrow Baptist Church on November 3rd at 2:00 PM. Eva was a devoted member of Carrow Baptist Church for 42 years and requested, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Carrow Baptist Church Scholarship Fund, 5545 Susquehanna Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
