Chesapeake – Garnet Glover Matney passed away August 18, 2010. She was born the daughter of the late Raymond Glover and Hazel Glover Santmyer in Belle Vernon, PA. Mrs. Matney was a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Education. She was a retired supervisor from IBM, New York office. Mrs. Matney continued her career as a private contractor, owning Garnet Matney Computer Training & Consulting Company. She volunteered for Sentara Health Systems, helping create websites and programs.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Dennis Glover. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Eddie N. Matney; brother, Karl W. Glover of Belle Vernon, PA; sister-in-law, Beverly Glover; and many extended family.
