Virginia Beach - Geraldine J. Igo, 84, passed away on May 23, 2012, in Virginia Beach, Va. She was born in Shenandoah, PA and graduated from Shenandoah Catholic High School. Geraldine moved to Washington, D.C. with her family; there she married her husband. She went on to work and retire from the civil service as an administrative assistant.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen McNamara and husband, Kevin. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Jennifer McNamara Poston and husband Greg, Laurin, Maureen, and Brian McNamara; and sisters, Ezilda Gorman of Forestville, MD and Bernadette Nyers of Upper Marlboro, MD.
She was predeceased by her husband, Francis J. Igo; and her parents, Veronica (Begley) and Joseph Misiewicz.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., June 1 at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Clinton with burial at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, MD.
