Mr. Miller was born in Cushing, Maine. He retired from the U.S. Navy after twenty years of service and from Civil Service in 1980. He attended St. John’s Baptist Church in Virginia Beach and enjoyed the outdoors, golfing and working in his garden.
Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Maxine Miller and a brother Russell Miller.
Survivors include his loving wife of forty-four years Becky Barker Miller; his five children Thomas Miller and wife Mary, Nancy Rademacher and husband Dave, Janet Wagner and husband Rick, Kathy Pawlak and husband Mark all of Virginia Beach, Peggy Turner and husband Macon of Idaho Falls; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; a brother Douglas Miller and wife Grace of Maine; a sister Brenda Harrington and companion Ray Wooster of Maine and Paulette Miller of FL.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Albert G. Horton, Jr., Veteran Memorial Cemetery.
