

Jane F. Ewell died peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, on June 7, 2013 with her loving husband by her side. She was born on June 1, 1945 in Norfolk, Virginia to William Ray Floyd, Jr. and Nellie H. Floyd. She was predeceased by her parents.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 47 years Donald L. Ewell; son Wesley (Heather); grandchildren Kelsey and Caden; daughter Kelly; sister Susan Morrison (Bob); brother William Ray Floyd lll (Carolyn); and nieces and nephews.
Jane graduated from Granby High School in Norfolk and attended Old Dominion University. She loved and loved to teach children. She participated in many things with her two children. She volunteered in Church Sunday pre-school since she was 15 and worked at the First Baptist Church of Norfolk’s Weekday Program. Jane was always reaching out to others. For many years she did daycare in her home. Jane loved nature and nature’s creatures, gardening, and was an active member of the Virginia Beach Genealogy Society. Most importantly Jane was always open about her faith in God
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 P.M. on June 12, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Norfolk, 312 Kempsville Road. Burial will be private.
