Jane Dunn Stevens

Jane Dunn Stevens, 98, was born July 12, 1926 in Newport News, Virginia. She is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, John Chatburn Stevens; her parents, Patrick and Jenny Dunn; grandson, Steven George Jenkins, Jr.; uncle, Billy Chestnut; and aunt, Theresa Dunn.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Postema (Marvin); son, Bruce Stevens (Kathy); grandchildren, Nicole Wallace (Chris); Mary Lawson (Chris), Rebecca Perkovich (Josh), Johnathan Stevens, Kenny Postema, Christopher Postema; great-grandchildren, Lance Lawson (Maddy) and Patrick Perkovich.

Jane was valedictorian of her senior class at St. Vincent Catholic High School. Jane was one of the original members of the Church of the Ascension and a plank owner.

The family would like to thank the staff of Our Lady of Perpetual Help for the outstanding care of our mother.

A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Church of the Ascension Catholic Church, 4853 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, VA.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that all donations be made to the Church of the Ascension Social Ministry.
