Jonathan Allen Sloop

Jonathan Allen Sloop was born on March 1, 1989 in Virginia Beach, Virginia and passed away on November 15, 2012. He attended several Virginia Beach Public Schools as well as Ryan Academy in Norfolk, Virginia where he graduated as their Salutatorian in 2007.

Jonathan pursued many passions in the ensuing years, cycling, writing, music, playing guitar, poetry, hiking and he touched a lot of lives with his gentle sensitive spirit. His family would like to thank you all for playing a part in his life.

Jonathan leaves behind many heart-broken survivors which include his parents, Max W. Sloop, Jr., and Jeannie Goble Sloop, his maternal grandmother Mable Goble, a brother Jacob Sloop and three aunts Carolyn Sloop and husband John Fields, Sandra Skroska and husband John, Marianne Dicken and husband Walter, three uncles Brian Sloop and wife Paula Kitchen, Mike Goble and wife Robin, Mark Goble and wife Terri and cousins Cindy Moeller, Sara Brown,Kris Sloop, Kaitlyn Roher, Jessica Kitchen, Clay Rakestraw, Adam Goble, Elizabeth Goble, Samantha Mayo and Allie Dicken, best friends Martha & James Garris and Dr. Ron Jacobson, a mentor, counselor and loved friend.

Jonathan's parents would love you to join us in a celebration of his life on Saturday, December 1, 2012, 2:00 p.m. at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel.
