Josiah “Si” Bartholomew, 65, passed away on August 11, 2014 following a 20 year fight with cancer. A native of Galion, OH, he had been a resident of Jacksonville, FL for 27 years. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Master Chief Bartholomew honorably served his country from 1969 to 1996.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sheri S. Bartholomew; sons, Jason D. (Melissa) of Chesapeake VA, and Kyle S. of Bellevue, WA; his mom, Rosemary E. of Galion; brothers, John E. of N. Canton, Tim W. of Galion, and Pete A. of Mansfield; grandchildren, Hannah, Nathanael, and Ethan. Si is preceded in death by his dad John W. Bartholomew.
A memorial service was held Saturday, August 16, 2014 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Jacksonville, FL.
