Lauren Maria Tweedy, 37, passed away at her home in Norfolk with her family by her side on Saturday, February 5, 2022. Lauren was born in California but raised in Hawaii. She can best be described by her family as selfless and put everybody before herself. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and she touched a lot of hearts in her lifetime. Lauren would often provide her generosity to the homeless. She was a very loving and kindhearted woman, she will be loved by all. She is cherished in memory by her husband, Charles Tweedy; parents, Larry and Lydia Nelson; children, Joshua and Liliana Tweedy; siblings, Samantha Jones, Luke Nelson, Lesley Nelson and Leya Nelson as well as a host of other significant family members and friends.
There will be a funeral mass at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 11am, Thursday, April 14, 2022. St. Pius X Catholic Church is located at 7800 Halprin Dr., Norfolk, VA 23518.
