Patricia Estelle Worley

Pattie was born on April 14, 1943 in Norfolk, Virginia, She was preceded in death by her father, Phillip A. Gibson; mother, Vera L. Gibson; brother, Lawrence M. Lewis and nephew, Phillip A. Lacy.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, William (Bill) H. Worley (wife Cherry), Phillip (Larry) L. Shaner (wife, Kelly) and Kenneth E. Worley; her daughters, Stacy L. Ritenour (husband, Glen) and Jamie L. Keyes (husband, Andy); her brother, Phillip A. Gibson II (wife, Diane); and her sister, Phyllis L. Barker (husband, Guy). She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one niece, one nephew, several cousins and close friend, Lorrie. Pattie also leaves behind her feline children, Petey and Bubba.

Pattie attended Patrick Henry Elementary and Maury High School and considered herself extremely blessed to rekindle some of her childhood friendships through social media.

Pattie worked at the Norfolk Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Blackwater Trading Post and K-Mart Photo Lab. However, her greatest accomplishment was raising her five children and in turn, watching her grandchildren grow.

Pattie enjoyed genealogy research, coupon shopping with her granddaughter, Amanda and cooking. She spent countless hours in the kitchen to ensure that her family had plenty of food and it wasn't until everyone finished, that she would finally sit down and eat. Pattie will forever be missed and never forgotten.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 6:00pm, Knotts Island Baptist Church, 389 Woodleigh Road, Knotts Island, NC 27950.
