Mr. Tanner was born in Cookesville, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Ethyl Tanner. He was a veteran of the U.S. M.C. and retired as a district manager for Michelin Tire. He was a member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge #220 and Khedive Temple Drummer and Bugle Corp.
Survivors include four children, Cathy, Chuck, Melinda and Lorrell Tanner, ten grandchildren and one great grandson and his best friend Melba West.
