Rosalina Ventura Libby, died peacefully on February 13, 2024 with her family by her side.
Born on April 16, 1953 in Orani, Bataan (Philippines), one of six children born to Modesto and Socorro Estimo Ventura.
Rosalina shared her scissor-sharp style, delightful sense of humor, and uncanny ability to build connections and make you feel beautiful on the inside and outside with so many during her lifelong career as a cosmetologist.
She is survived by her spouse and boyfriend of 44 years Charles Samuel Norris Libby, daughters Tina Tong (James), Jennessa Libby-Reynolds (Kevin), and Charlotte Griffin (Ryan). She was a loving “Lola” to Alex and Ethan (Tong), Liam, Abigail, and Natalie (Reynolds), and Lucas (Griffin). She was an honorary second Mom and “Lola” to many who were fortunate to know and love her.
She is predeceased by her sister Lolita Ventura Salazar. Survived by siblings Romana Ventura David, Almario Estimo Ventura, Oscar Estimo Ventura, Ladrasco Estimo Ventura and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosalina was an active member of the Filipino Community and loved spending time with her friends and family. You could always find her on the dance floor, at the outlet mall, or enjoying a meal with the ones she loved. She leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, strength of spirit, and an unending generosity that could be seen in her care for her mother, husband, children, grandchildren, entire family, and countless others.
In honoring Rosalina’s memory, a memorial mass will be held at Church of the Ascension Catholic Church – 4853 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462, on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 11:00am. The rite of Christian burial will take place immediately after the mass in the Church of the Ascension Columbarium Garden.
Rest in eternal peace and glory Rosalina. She will be remembered for her radiant smile, fierce love of her friends and family, and kindness and compassion for others. Rosalina made an impact on so many lives. She will be forever missed. Until we meet again.
