Sarah Elizabeth Bell Harrington, 88, passed away on June 22, 2011. She was born on June 27, 1922 in North Carolina to the late Benjamin and Clara Bell. Sarah loved to crochet, play bingo, garden and was a great cook. She was very independent and always did it her way. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garnet Harrington.
She is survived by her children; Patricia Owens and husband Moe of FL, Donald Harrington of NC and Regina Boyd and husband, Bruce of Virginia Beach, grandchildren; Sherry Brock and husband Jr., Terri Gunner and husband Ray, Bryan and Shelly Harrington, Billie Matyiko and husband Travis and Wendy Brinkley and husband Kip, great grandchildren; Haley Brock, Ashley Ursery, Boden and Kerry Harrington, Sydney, Kennedie and Melanie Matyiko, Seth and Colby Brinkley great great-grandson; Marley Hutchenson, and sister; Lucy Lovelace of Virginia Beach.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at 4 PM in Smith and Williams Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Ervin Ambrose. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Light House Tabernacle, 1186 County Line Road, Belvidere, NC, 27919 in Sarah’s name.
