Shirley Eloise Miller

Shirley Eloise Miller, 92, passed away in Norfolk on Friday, February 8, 2019. She was a native of Norfolk, Virginia to the late Robert J. Cooke and Lilian Cooke. She is also predeceased by her husband, James Henry Miller who passed away in 2015. Shirley made her family her life, she focused on her love for her husband, children and her grandchildren. She loved listening to music, especially Elvis Presley after she heard him sing "Heartbreak Hotel." She is survived by her children, Roy Miller, Diana Miller and Charlotte Miller; grandchildren, Paul, Heather, Joel and Beth and great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Josie, Sonya, David, Rose Mary, Connor, Dillon and Allyson. There will be a visitation from 6-8pm, Monday, February 11, 2019 at Smith and Williams Funeral Home Kempsville. A funeral service will be conducted at 10am, Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Tabernacle Church in Norfolk. Reverend Edward Haywood will be officiating.
