William "Buddy" Ralph Culbertson

William “Buddy” Ralph Culbertson, 78, passed away in Norfolk on Tuesday, November 27, 2018. Buddy was born in Big Stone Gap, VA to the late William and Maggie Culbertson. He is also predeceased by his wife, Lorene Culbertson and his sister, Joann Gilbert. Buddy was an army veteran and later worked as a truck driver with Consolidated Freightways. He had a whimsical sense of humor and was very laid back, he was loved by everybody. He was a devout Christian as well and is now in His Kingdom with the love of his life, Lorene Culbertson who passed away in 2014. He also loved to garden as well. He is survived by his children, Chuck (Terri) David (Tina), Ronda (John), Christy (Duane) and a special son in law, Scott (Ryan); siblings, Kester and Mary Lou; grandchildren, Bryce (Dani), Chase (Emily), Allison, Lexi (Larry), Elliott and Wesley (Olivia) and two great grandchildren, Cambry and Harper. A graveside service will be conducted at 11am, Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Rosewood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Disabled American Veterans charity.
