Angelina Hernandez Madrid, who loved to be called “Granny” by most her kids, departed her loving family on March 27, 2022 in Visalia, CA at the young age of 82. Angelina was born in Laredo, Texas on September 23, 1939 to Aurelio and Maria Hernandez.
Angie was mother to Sonia Holland, Anthony Rios, Raymond Rios, Albert Rios, Ricardo Serna and Isaias Serna. She raised her children with love and devotion. Aside from the children she loved so much, Angie especially loved her grandchildren, Kalysta Holland, Sean Holland, Kailee Rios, Sofya Rios, Karen Rios, Suzzanna Serna and Ricardo Serna, Jr.
Angelina grew up surrounded by a large family. Being the oldest girl, she had nine siblings that she had to take care of. She was influenced by her family to be a loving, hard-working and caring woman, always giving her time to others and she incorporated that into her motherhood. Angelina believed in the importance of staying active and that she was. She loved spending time in her yard, going on walks, having lunch with her friends, talking on the phone, and she went to more parties and had more fun than most. Angie was the true definition of Social Butterfly. She was also an amazing cook and loved to bake. Angie would bake for her family, friends and neighbors. Her tables would be filled with cookies, cupcakes, pies or cakes for everyone. Angelina will be greatly missed by her friends, family and especially her grandkids who adored her with all of their hearts.
We know that we cannot have you but we are happy knowing that the angels finally have you back.
Goodbye to an extraordinary woman and a beautiful mother.
